Drake Hollow updates incoming
Hi all,
I wanted to share an update about what we’re working on now that Drake Hollow has been released on PC. We’ve received a ton of feedback already, and are working hard to address the various issues that people are seeing.
First up, we’re working on a patch now that we’re hoping to have out by the end of next week with a bunch of bug fixes, and also the first version of Sandbox Mode! We’ve been testing it with some folks from our Discord community, and it’s looking good. There’s likely to be balance issues, since it takes dozens of hours to get deep into the game, so of course we’ll be welcoming feedback.
Sandbox is an endless version of the game, without story or a quest line. It features a raised max camp level and new cosmetics that can only be earned by reaching high camp levels.
We’ve also raised the item cap in the depot, and added filters that allow you to view items by type, and added a number of quality of life fixes to navigation.
In addition we’re also fixing the following:
Better explanations for consumable improvements, and how to connect power/water improvements
Issues with players attempting to join previously full multiplayer sessions
Issues with corruption brambles spawning beneath islands
An issue where clients would lost buffs when reloading a save in Winter biome
Widescreen FOV
Drakes not using defensive improvements reliably
Performance issues related to high Drake populations
After this patch, our highest priority tasks are:
Key rebinding
Investigate and fix poor performance on certain PC configs with the Windows 10/Game Pass version of the game
Adding gameplay modifiers to allow people to adjust the game to their preferences
We really appreciate all the feedback that folks have shared with us via Twitter, Discord, and our direct support email. It really is helping us make a better game!
